Thread: Yarn

    Default Yarn

My obsession with material gathering has got me again.....wondered through the yarn section at Wal-Mart and saw some I thought would wrap well..bought it and got home and had the exact same skein...[when in the heck did I buy that???].....Anyway, I'm not going to bother to return it....so for those of you that would like some just send me a self addressed stamped envelope and I'll send you 5 yards of the stuff...just email me and I'll email you my address.

It is Red Heart Symphony Earth Brown ....which really does describe it brown /rust/even slight orange and there is a black core that should set it off when wrapping...Mohair like.....

I see the photos over exaggerate the black core ...it's not that dominate...much more subtle.

I have found Caron "Feathers" at a local dollar store. "Feathers" yarn is chenille with a piece of eyelash yarn wrapped around it. Cool stuff. I have been using it to make a one material wooly bugger. I untwist the eyelash portion which is thinner than typical eyelash yarn. I then palmer it through the chenille as if it were a feather. Next I cut the "hackle barbs" to the desired length.

I am willing to swap 5 yards of this yarn with others. Just send me your snail mail and I will put it in the mail.
