My favorite Wooly Bugger (Buggar?) color combination is Purple & Black!

Hook: 2XL, size 6,8,& 10.
Thread: Black (3/0 for the size 6,& 8; 6/0 for size 10).
Weight: start 2/3 back on hook shank behind eye, wrap forward. Then wrap 1/3 back towards rear. Helps if you flatten the weight before wrapping to keep the diameter small. The weight forward, will cause the fly to sink head first between pulls on the line.
Tail: Marabou,Purple with some Red Flashbou strands.
Ribbing: Black & Purple Hen Hackle.
Body: Purple Iridescent Dubbing.
Head: Black Iridescent Dubbing.

I tie my Wooly Buggers (Buggars?) to represent Leeches, which have a narrow "Head" (where their mouth is located), and a wide "Tail" (where the sucker is located).
