ELB,

I think any kind of equipment you have fun fishing with is cool for you. I was just thinking along the lines of how much money people spend to drive to the places they fish, buy fishing licenses, lunch, sunglasses, sunblock, insect repellent, drinks, etc..., and how it would be hard to be frugal if you wanted to fish different spots around a person's home state. I know my time fishing for myself is VERY limited and special, so I don't skimp on anything that would make my fishing more enjoyable. For instance, I couldn't fish anywhere without my 170.00 copper, photochromatic, mirror finished sunglasses. That right there puts me out of the frugal loop!

Also, do you find yourself limited with only a full sinking line? You are kind of able to do only one kind of fishing with that line. If you are interested, I have a new 7wt floating line you can have. It's nothing fancy, but if you stretch it out, it should perform well. Let me know
