Default comments please, 1st Salmon Fly

If the picture goes through this is my first try at dressing a salmon fly. All the feathers used are from a ringneck pheasant skin natural and dyed olive. Sorry about the quality of the photo!

Any suggestions for a name for the fly would be great. Its supposed to be presented to someone.

    Please post your comments,
    Thanks
    Richard

Very nice! You could give it the name of the person receiving it - Richard's Special?
(Insert person's real name of course.) That WAS something which was done by the old tiers.

Nice job. You have made what will prove to be a very costly mistake plunging into the full dress pool. Now get out there and find some $100 bustard feathers to buy!(grin)

Im already ordering some skins of Lady Amherst, Reeves and a Golden pheasant. I figured that those will get me started since they will have a nice bunch of different colored feathers. I will stay with the cheaper Mustad hooks until some of my work smooths out.

    Thanks,

how about calling it "the uplander", or something similar. "the ringer"???
