Q1. Are microfibbets too small to use on size 10 dryflies?
Q2. Can you tie an effective 'Footprint dun' using microfibbets as the outriggers?
Q3. What is your preferred Tailing material on Size 10 dries
    a) Microfibbets
    b) Moose Body
    c) Coq de Leon?
Any advise or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I am really pleased with Whitings Coq-de-Leon
tailing packs, well worth the price.

I also use micro-fibbets for very small size 20-24 flies because the long length gives me a bigger 'handle' for positioning.

I have used synthetic paint brush fibers as a substitute, but find the fibbets to be better suited.

Q1. Yes... Actualy you could, but I wouldn't. I'd use Coq de Leon for the dainty smooth water flies and hair for rough water flies (Wulff's). Depends on the fly style.

Q2. No... You could, but not "effectively". Microfibbets do not float. Coq de Leon does, so it would be more effective.

Q3. C or B... Depends on the fly style mentioned above.

I too am a fan of Coq de Leon. Ed.

    Wacker,

Q1. Are microfibbets too small to use on size 10 dryflies?
    > No. You have to use 2 or 3 on each side though.
Q2. Can you tie an effective 'Footprint dun' using microfibbets as the outriggers?
    > Don't know.

Q3. What is your preferred Tailing material on Size 10 dries?
    > Spade hackle(the real thing), including Coq de Leon, is the tailing material I prefer on all dry flies excluding Wulffs and a few customized flies.
