I'll be tying a caddis fly that requires flexament on the feather. As the feather dries, it is reshaped by hand from a round to a teardrop. After the feather is dry it is folded to create the caddis wing

I've never done this before, so some questions.

Can other head cement brands be used, or is Flexament unique?

The video shows the Flexament being spread on the feather with the tyer's thumb and index finger. How do you then get the Flexament off your fingers?

Assuming a thin coat of Flexament is spread on a quail body feather, about how long does it take to dry? (Trying to figure out how long I have to reshape the feather.)
