Bass Fly

I am looking for a pattern for a Bass fly called the V worm or Bipolar worm I have been told it is a likeness of a plastic worm. Enyone know of the pattern? Thanks.

This photo is somewhat misleading, the tail is not attached to the hook, it is free to swing from the body.

Very simple and effective fly, Ultra chennille tail with a small marabou fluff end.

Andy Burke originally tied the V-Worm for largemouth bass and used a Tiemco 8089 hook with mono weedguard, naturally it has many variations today. Weighted or unweighted with sinking line, your choice.

I did have the direct link for the pattern but can't find it right now (looking through previous threads on the V Worm). I found this one from the originator but I don't use the vernille. I just use a length of yarn with one end tied to the tying vise and the other end with a cup holder hook chucked in an electric drill. After about 100 revolutions, I get a twisted length of yarn that I grip in the middle and allow to wind on itself. I get this permanently twisted yarn bundle that I use for the tail and the body.
