RS2 or Trion for 9wt in salt?

I don't fish saltwater and therefore can't speak to the rust issue others have complained about with the RS2, but my spool release lever does appear to be anodized (at least it is black to match the reel).

The spool of the RS2 is a little wider than the Trion's, which should translate to more backing capacity. Keep in mind I'm comparing a 9/10 RS2 at 1-3/16" wide, to a 7/8 wt Trion at 15/16" wide.

And lastly Warranty's:
Redington = Lifetime
Pfleuger = 1 year

I went to the Cabela's website and found the sale on the CD series, but couldn't find the RS2 anywhere. Could you post a link? I'd like to pick up a spare spool for my son.
