    Default Hen Wood Duck

The hunting for Wood Ducks has been good this year and my friends have provided me with several skins. In addition to the males, I have one female (hen) wood duck skin. I don't recall seeing patterns that use the feathers and wanted to know if anyone knew of some patterns to try. I'm flexible as to the type (wet/dry/nymph), so any suggestions will be welcome.

I agree with you - use the material where I want. But I also like to learn of patterns that use a material, if for no other reason than the history of the material and the history of flies.

    tx,

I'm not aware of any 'specific' pattern that calls for hen woodie.
