    Default "Unusual" Flys

Just before X-Mas, I was looking to tie some neat looking "flys" to give as gifts. I really had no idea where to get started, so I searched here and found a neat Snow man fly. I would like to know if anyone has any other patterns they have tied, that isn't a fly to fish with, but rather a neat looking art piece.

I wouldn't surprise me if all of these actually caught fish.

I remember many years ago, as a gag-gift for my birthday, a friend had gotten me a fishing lure that looked like a minnow stuffed through an actual mini-budwieser can, right down to the label. I'm glad I kept it, because they are worth some money now. One day out of boredom, I went to a local pond and tied it on just to see what it would do in the water, and I caught a 2 lb. bass on it! That's the only time I ever fished it.

It's amazing what some fish will attack!

    Semper Fi!
