    Default Thanksgiving Fire

Well, you've heard about the tragic holiday fires? This time it was me. About a third of my house burned down yesterday in a 2 alarm blaze. We turned on the gas fireplace for the first time since it was repaired several months ago, and within a few minutes the wall on one side of my family room was abaze. Within another few it looked like the place was going to burn to the ground. The firemen did a fantastic job saving our house. So I'll be out of commision email-wise for awhile, until electricity is restored, and we can move back in. The family is fine, and we're staying with friends. I'm posting this from their machine, and won't be able to do much more than this for what I hope is just a little while. The good news... my fly tying room was spared.

WOW. Sorry to hear about your house, but the good thing is everyone is ok. Best wishes in getting things fixed up.

Eric sorry to hear about the fire-glad everyone is safe. This is a bad time of the year to have something like that to happen. Little humor in saying the fly tying was saved---

Sorry for your loss Eric, the family is fine is a great thing, and on a lesser level your gear was spared is a great thing too.
I hope the rebuilding goes well.
    Best of luck

    Eric,

Thank goodness that you had a well-trained fire department nearby. Glad to hear that family and friends got out of the hourse in good order. That was a genuine Thanksgiving blessing! 8T

Next time just tell her she can remodel. Really, I'm glad no one was hurt.
