    Default Which would you pick?

If you could have any vise - free of charge - which one would you pick and why?

well, I'd order one those laws.

simply because I can't afford it or rationalize buying one, despite my philosophy of "it doesn't matter what it costs if you'll have, use, and enjoy it for the rest ot your life."

nonetheless I'm content w/ my vices.

    MN,

I really don't know since I haven't tied on the ones I would probably consider. I'll tell you, my choice might be a total surprise.

For me it would be a Regal I suspect, I just love that ease of use.

I would get a Law vise.I've used on and it was pretty nice. Whether it would upsurp my Thompson "A" is another story.

LOL.. I would probably pick a custom built Law only because it is one of the few I don't have and it costs between seven and eight hundred dollars. I currently tie on the 3 Renzetti's I have... One packed for shows and the other 2 in my two fly tying rooms..

    LOL at mantis

I do not need to pick one, as I have been enjoying my LAW Bench vise since 1989

    Cheers,

Dyna-King. I have two of them and have been using one of them (PRO) for almost 18 years without any problems at all. Tough as nails and they stand behind there vises.
I also have about 7 or so others and have had many more than that over the years. Most were given to me to try or as presants. The one other vise that I do use at times is the Nore Vise as I do streamers at times and it is without a doubt the fastest vise for doing body's on long shank hooks. Ron

Renzetti Master's Vise. As soon as I could, I saved up and bought a Renzetti traveller to replace my learn-to-tie Orvis vise. That was when I was 29 yrs. old and I will never need another vise for the rest of my life. But, if you're asking what I would want for FREE! It's the Renzetti Master's Vise. (My 11 year-old daughter would be ecstatic, because she'd get the Traveller!)
