    Default chico's Bend Back Flies

I need help on the hooks to use for these flies. I have Lefty's book on salt water flies but it does not show how to handle the hooks. Help

    Joe,
I use TMC 411S hooks for my bendbacks. I have bent other hooks but the 411s is made with the bend in it so it should be stronger.

Excuse my spelling and grammar, I hooked Mondays and Fridays to either fish or hunt.

My preference is a Mustad 34011 for either fresh or saltwater. You want a long shank hook for bendbacks to insure good hooking since you are shortning the hook by bending it.Just take care when bending your hook to not bend it too much.Only a small bend is needed.
