I just tied up some Red & White Streamer flies. No real pattern, just sort of a Mickey Finn but with white instead of yellow. I was looking on the web and found a picture of a fly that raises a question. The picture is at this link.

Now here's the question. If you look at the rear of the fly, the tinsel is on the hook shank with what appears to be no thread. How did he/she do that? Is there an adhesive backed tinsel? It sure makes the body slim, which I try to do.

Any ideas?
