    Default Good Fighter?

Wow, I bet that Gar put up a heck of a fight. Do they just make runs or do they jump as well?Larry ---sagefisher---

It jumped a couple times, and also peeled line off the reel a few times. I was using a 9wt rod. There are even bigger ones at this spot, although I didn't see them on this trip for some reason. But there are also huge Bighead Carp, I caught the 27" Walleye here, and Flathead Catfish are a possibility. The fly I tied for this fish was a 4.5" articulated streamer. So...yeah, I wanted the 9wt!
