    Default Honey Dun?

    This is kind of a catskill question, agian, only because that's all Im tying this season.
    Anyway what flies does honey dun get used for? Are there any flies you substitute this color with?

    From Rube Cross
    Tups
    Body: Pale salmon color body
    Honey dun tail and hackle .
    primrose yellow thread.


    As far as substitutions, here's a few : Sulfers, Light Cahill, Pale Watery Dun, Ginger Quill(great during Hendrickon hatches) Grey Fox(add to grizzly mix}, Grey Fox Variant, Hendricksons (with Blue Dun), PMD

    Hi Doug,

    I'm with Jim on this one. I love the way it looks on my PMD parachutes. I like to mix it with a little medium dun for my BWO parachutes. Take care & ...
