    Default Alternate Thread for Tying

I am always on the lookout for materials that I can use at my fly-tying desk, especially when I shop in thrift stores or Goodwill. I found this brand-new box of embroidery thread in a Goodwill store. It has 40 different colors of Acrylic Polyester embroidery thread each spool with 500 meters (547 yards) of thread for $8.00 That's a total of just under 22,000 yards of thread. The thickness is about like 3/0 thread which does not present problems for me since I mainly tie larger patterns for warmwater fishing here in Florida. I tie on a Norvise so I spool the thread onto the Norvise bobbin spools anyway, so that also works fine for me. I am most impressed by the different colors that you don't usually find in fly-tying thread and it has a nice bright finish to the thread. https://gifyu.com/image/SWJNc

    Thumbs down

Nice colors. However, I have more 3/0 thread than I'll ever use, plus all other sizes. Same thing applies to floss. Wish I had someone to will this stuff to one day. Grandkids are more interested in other sports.
