    Default Importing Feathers from US

I have found some Lemon WoodDuck Feathers on Ebay. Unfortunatly the seller says he cannot legally post them the UK.

Does anyone know of a way to legally import feathers or is it a complete no no.....

    Mick,
Wouldn't it be better to purchase the from Cookshill?Shipping will cost you about $10.00 unless you go the slow boat way. You may want to check into Eyptian Goose as well.
Just some thoughts, sorry if I'm off base.
I don't think there is any problem shipping wood duck though.

Lemon Duck is available from Tom. C. Saville Ltd. of Nottingham at 2.45 BPounds per packet of ten. They also have American Wood Duck (Carolina). Phone 01159308800 .
I have always found them extremely obliging.
Seems a better option than E-bay.

I agree with Jim.... Steve Cooper @ Cookshill Fly-tying can supply the feathers you require. Quality and service are second-to-none!

Yes checked both out and no problems. I had actually stuck up a good deal with the dealer via ebay, and could have bought bulk feathers or full skins, but of course it appears it is illegal to export feathers and also to import them and he and I are not prepared to break the laws.

Presumably sensible with all this bird flu, and other pests and diseases.

I assume people like cookshill and savilles have some sort of licenses to import.
    Best regards and tight lines
