    Default Broke Back frog popper

I've been so tied up with work lately that I have not had any time to work at my fly-tying bench. I tied up a few streamers and then decided to make a couple of poppers, This is an articulated frog popper that I have good luck with. I carved the head from Balsa wood, colored it, and inserted SS wire with a loop on each end. I used a size 4 double frog hook, frog legs and some dubbing bruch material. The articulated legs drop down into the water when I pause the retrieve and rise up and kick back on the retrieve stroke. I gave this one the "trumpet" mouth to add some noise and disturbance. If the wind stay low, I'll be using this along the weedlines for big bass. https://gifyu.com/image/Sl2sS

Thanks, Dennis I fid that the articulated patterns have more action in the water and often draw more strikes.

    Default Thanks!

Jim, thanks for the info on where to buy Live Legs. Have a friend that's in Europe now who's buy some. Thanks again!
