I tied up a few more fox-fur jigs for the fall fishing season here in Florida. I like to make my own jigs using jig hooks and splitshot. I flatten the bottom of the splitshot which make the flies rest in the hook-up position much like a ned rig for traditional fishing rigs. I vary the size of the splitshot depending on the hook size and the patterns I'd tying. I glue and crimp the splitshot in place, give it a coat of UV fingernail polish, add the eyes and finish with a cost of UV Epoxy. Fox fur is one of my favorite tying materials because it gives nice action in the water and is very durable.Fox Fur Jigs.JPG
