scott, great looking fly, reminds me of a fly I used to fish around opening day of trout season in Connecticut, back in the mid sixties. it was called a, "Mickey Finn", worked well on freshly stocked fish. and brook trout. it was a bucktail pattern, the fly you tied has the same look, but with the soft hackle approach it looks like it will breath a lot more, and look alive in the water.
