    Default Yellowstone

Sending all in the area best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Some of my favorite spots likely won't be accessible for years to come
So lucky to have the memories there with family and friends.

It will rebound , in natures natural way and time ..

    Lightbulb But ....

... there will be many new places to explore and enjoy, places maybe more interesting and productive than your old favorites.

Reminds me of another river system you know well - the South Fork of the Snake out in the Ririe area.

For a good number of years, my home water was the stretch of the South Fork from the Big Feeder almost down to Twin Bridges. The most interesting time of year on that stretch was the fall, after the summer irrigation high flows settled down. It was a time to experience the annual changes caused by those high flows and find new places to fish. Places where you could catch bunches of fish one year would be dry ground the next year, or dry ground one year would be a new slot or side channel just loaded with fishies the following year.

So look forward to some new challenges and rewards on the Yellowstone system. The fishies will still be there, waiting for you to find and feed them.

    John
    The fish are always right.

    J. Scott. You are so right things have really changer. The boy says it took out two bridges and a state road. He took his pan down where a lot of washout occurred
and find a little color. However, he said you'd have to move a mountain of gravel to come up with anything to talk about. He always carries his pan with him on the tractor and washes a little when it looks good. He is still logging when the weather permits.
