Jim, I'm in the neighborhood, but unfortunately I'm already committed this week. But let me know if you'll still be here Saturday and want to fish in the morning.
Rex
Hi Rex,
I'll be in Dallas Saturday. I have to work in the morning.should be available from mid morning to mid after noon.
Jim
It'll be hot at that time of the day, but I bet we can find a fish somewhere.
I'm actually north of Dallas, so we can meet in the middle or if you feel like driving we can fish Texoma.
Rex
Hi Rex,
I'm familiar with lake texoma. I have a friend that lives 1 mile from Cumberland Cove by Madill. That would be too far a journey for me as I have to work Saturday late in the afternoon...I was thinking of visting my friend either thursday or friday afternoon.
Jim
No problem Jim. Let's touch base later this week and see what we want to do.
If you are wanting to tie while you're down here, something else to consider is the Roadkill Roundtable. That is a group of tiers from the Dallas area that meet every Saturday at the Bass Pro shop on the north side of the DFW airport. I think they start around 10 and go until after lunch. I don't know who actually shows up to tie, but there are some very good tiers in that group.
Rex
I went to the Roadkill Roundtable a few weeks ago and Bass Pro Shop opened at 9 and they were setting up outside the fly shop shortly after that.
As a very new tyer I learned a lot from them.
