    Default Vickie Eagle Elk

For those who are old enough to remember when Vickie (VEE) and I (REE) were active members and chat room hosts, I am deeply saddened to have to tell you that my lovely wife and fishing buddy passed away last night at 10:02 PM, 15 March, from complications of liver cancer. Monday morning I drove her to the ER because she was having a reaction to her meds. She was walking and talking. They kept her overnight for observation. Tuesday morning she was on fluids, oxygen and pain meds. I thought I was there to pick her up to go home, instead they told me I was going to lose my wife.

Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

    Ron,

I am really sorry to hear this. I remember her well when she and you were tying flies up here in Washington.

She was a really good person.
