The far northern tier of Montana has three areas which are at or close to 100% of long term snow water equivalent ( SWE ). The rest of the state is mostly well below 100% with little time and likelihood of catching up to the long term averages.

Idaho is in worse shape, with only one district in the far northern part of the state even close to 100% SWE, and the further south you go, the worse it gets. Again, there is little prospect for improving the current conditions.

To access current information, use google or bing to search Montana ( or Idaho ) snow water equivalent. The site updates daily on state maps similar to those shown in the original post on this thread.
