Thread: Tying station light

    Default Tying station light

There was a mention some time ago about a sunlight full spectrum light found at Costco for a very good price. I have not been able to find one in the Costcos I have been in till last week. So maybe now they are more available.

This is a sunlight full spectrum 27 WATT lamp for $19.99.

That's an incredible price and you'd be hard pressed to find one that size in 27 watts.

Even though I don't need one I'm tempted to become"bargain poor" just for the sake of the 27 watts.

    Anyone know anything about these?

I bought 2 of those lights 1 for my tying desk and one for my computer desk. It is a great deal!! Not sure of the wattage though.

I bought an Ott Light about 2 years ago when no one else was making daylight lamps for well over $100, and this $19.99 lamp from Costco is just as good.

My recommendation is buy it!! You can't beat it.

I picked up one a couple of weeks ago when they had a coupon. Total price was $5. couldn't say no. Wish I had bought two now. I'm still new to it but I really like it. I'm thinking of picking up another one.

My tying room is in the basement furnace room, and I have ceiling shop lights (cool white)over the tying bench. I also have two clamp-on incandescent lights (with "Real - Natural Light") bulbs that I can locate as needed, to the shelf over my tying station.

This combo gives me enough good lighting, and options (for highlighting) for fly tying and for photo shoots of flies.

Down in the meadow in a little bitty pool
Swam three little fishies and a mama fishie too
"Swim" said the mama fishie, "Swim if you can"
And they swam and they swam all over the dam

thanks for the heads up, i picked up one of the lights you mentioned today and it is great. i had a hard time locating it in the store, it was mixed in with the furniture and was actually just about out of sight. you might want to ask someone connected with the store to direct you toward them. it is just possible they are there but hard to find.

    good luck
