D*mn it's been hot!
The weather finally broke, down from 105 to the mid 80's. Broke out my little R.L. Winston 7-1/2' 4wt bamboo rod and went bass hunting. I caught a few small ones but it's the lake with the big cats so I remembered to take my big net this time because of the rip rap, and sure enough. This'n was a tussle, but like most cats of size he just wanted to go deep and shake and tug. Good fight though...
this one, though much smaller, was a real hoot. He fought like a tiger, jumped and pitched and actually tail walked for a bit!
