    Default Spam from FOAL :(

Haven't been to this site in quite a while. Thought I'd let someone know though that I just received spam from here. Maybe you've been hacked, I don't know. Anyway, here's the spam I received.

    https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#sp...KnrxlrSqpwfxvZ

I know this isn't you but when you open the link it specifically says FAOL.

I would think it is worth checking out.

    Thank You

Some one has found a way to send PMs through FAOL without being a member of the forum.
A few months ago it was a long list of non-characters most likely from a translator that did not decipher what was being sent.
Recently I've gotten two of the same messages from the same sender and I just delete them without ever opening them. I get the bulk of the text in the email telling me I have a new PM on the FAOL site.

This is the best way to handle them. I never open PMs from names I don’t recognize; the titles on most of those spams are pretty obvious anyway.

Scott has given good advice. Don't open PMs from names you don't recognize.

I agree with Scott. I never open emails that are suspicious or from people or sites I don't recognize. I sometime get an email from a bank, for example, I've never done business with. Don't open it and delete it. Also remove it from your Trash box after deleting it. You can't be too cautious in today's environment.
