I began developing this book in 2004 after I realized that I could get "squnked" anywhere! So I decided to find every lake or pond I could get to using public transportation. Surprisingly, there are 30 lakes and ponds managed by the New York City's Parks Department. This book tells the history of each fishery. Some lakes are kettle ponds, some lakes are tidal one pond has smallmouth bass! Each lake has a unique history. Even if you don't fish the book will hold your interest as it gives the history of NYC going back to revoluntary times. It is available now on Amazon.
