Fun at a pond
Hiked into a pond to fish from shore. Did not try to take the canoe as there is to much mud to try to go through. Got tot he pond and the algae was out about 20 to 25 feet everywhere.
Decided to roll cast an unweighted fly and see what I might find. Had to roll cast as not enough room to do a regular cast.
Had a ball. Hooked about every other fish that hit. Landed about a third of those that I could get to slide over the algae. Over time that improved as a channel formed in the algae.
Lots of fun. Used 6 different flies.
