was tying this eve,and thought my Griffin ceramic bobbin was chew'in up the thread from the infeed end of the tube.
But upon close inspection while cleaning the tube with a really heavy super thread,I found it was in the spool of 3/0 itself...about midway through the spool I hit a section where it was almost solid with wax.That had apparently hardened with age.
Anyone else ever encounter such things ?...was a first with a "Bad" spool for me..
