Kryptonite Cased Caddis

Good morning everyone,

Catching up on some forum posts and I saw Norm's request for some new content and figured I'd try to throw my hat in the ring. Hope to be posting more often once I kind of figure things out. So without further ado...




Here is a Kryptonite Cased Caddis inspired by a post I saw on Instagram. The post was by Eli Gonzales (@easyegonzales) who is definitely a tyer everyone should check out if you haven't already; he has some amazing patterns.

Kryptonite Cased Caddis
Hook: Firehole 317, Size 20
Thread: Veevus 14/0, Brown
Head: Tenkara #3 level line, yellow tied Kryptonite style (might have to do an SBS on this or google Kryptonite Caddis on Youtube)
Hackle/Legs: Hungarian Partridge backed by a small ball of brown hare's ear dubbing
Body: Stripped peacock quill
