    Default Thinking bass

    DSCN0217.jpg

This is tied with a bendback and a weedguard to be cast up into the weedbed and retrieved. That's how most bass are caught on plastic worms on a small spring fed lake behind my brother's house. It's about 31/2 inches long.

Hook: six times long #2 with front 1/4 of shank bent slightly down.
weight: lead wire tied on top of hook shank from bend of hook to bendback
    weedguard: 20 pound momo
rear wing: zonker strip tied in upside down
    rib: gold wire
    body: australian possum
front wing: zonker strip measured to fit tied on bottom of hook at head and locked down with spiraled rib
    beard: pheasant rump
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

I'm always thinking of bass. That fly (a little blurry so some detail gone) is similar to one we call a redneck rabbit. It will catch bass. Good colour choice too.
