Thread: Where to get pearsall's silk?

Default Where to get pearsall's silk?

I'm trying to get some silk thread and/or floss to tie some soft hackle wets. When I do a google search, the main 2 sites selling either are for eflytyer.com and Lewis and Clark fly tyers. Both of them have gotten really negative reports on FAOL recently.
Does anybody have any other sources they would like to share. I've tried local fly shops and no luck.

Hareline Dubbin' has it. Any good flyshop should have access.

    Hi,
I know that both Hunter's Angling and Feathercraft carry the Pearsall's silk.
    Try: huntersangling.com or feathercraft.com

    Yep,
We are dealers for Pearsall's silk.
Normally have a good supply of gossamer in stock.
Just e-mail me with your needs.

I use if for tying flys and for wrapping guides on the bamboo rods I make.

    Thanks everybody for your replies.

Denny, I didn't see it listed on your website. What would be the cost per spool and the shipping for about a half-dozen spools? When I'm ready, I'll e-mail you.

    Thanks again.

Sorry about that JC, guess I have to chalk it up to getting old.

Just as Al Campbell said in one of his "Lighter Side" articles....

Old age is when you still have something on the ball but you are just too tired to bounce it.
