I posted this pic of this fella a caught a couple weeks back, but I didn't tell the whole story...

I couldn't get the fly out of his mouth but I had a gripper with me so I clamped it on him, got the fly out. The gripper has a lanyard to slip over your wrist but of course I didn't have it on. Got him to the water and he made a big flop and, yep...gone. I felt bad, not only losing my tool, but I wasn't sure he'd survive with that thing clamped on his lip. My son-in-law fishes that same lake and I told him about it; told him sorta tongue-in-cheek that if he caught him he could keep the gripper. Sunday he sent me this pic with the text, "This it?"

I said, "Don't tell me!!" But no, he didn't catch him; he found it near the shore. Big guy musta slipped it off; good for everyone! I had already bought another but told my S-I-L I'd rather swap him for this one just because of the story.
