I don't know the answer to your question Dave, But I DO know that your first fish is so stunning with ALL it's fins and the perfect sail for the dorsal. Something impossible to produce in a concrete raceway.

I think the only way to tell what strain of rainbow is do a DNA test and have an unveiling of the results on Jerry Springer to find out who the real baby daddy is.

Thanks for posting that....it feels good to even just to see a PICTURE of a fish right now. Got the shack nasties going on. Used to icefish during the winter, but before moving to STL, MO, I gave all my icefishing gear away, thinking I'd never get to use it here. I don't regret it...lots less clutter in the garage now.... But this deep freeze we are in has locked up the local waters for the past few weeks, and looks like the ice may not melt off them for at least 3 more weeks. I'm just tying flies for now.
