A very nice looking fly as usual though I personally believe the head should be about a third of the total length of the hook shank. That is based on the dimensions of real sculpins and may not apply if you are thinking of a marabou muddler as an attractor.
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.
For many, many years I fished the Kenai river on Halloween with yellow marabou muddlers. They worked incredibly well!
i agree on the head length
this is the first one tied in 40 years but my proportions should have been a little better
are you saying the clipped head excluding the collar?
I tie the collar separately and then but the head against the butts from it. I like to ideally have about one third of the head/body to be head. My biggest smallmouth to date came on one with a smaller head though so maybe the real experts disagree.

I haven't been here in some time, but your Muddler IMO, is nice and clean. I find it quite interesting the variation this pattern takes on by a variety of tyers. My most favourite pattern to tie.Muddler Minnow size 6 (2).jpg

Here is my version of a Marabou Muddler that has been quite successful for me over the years. Maybe not so pretty, but effective all the same.Marabou Muddler size 4 (4).jpg
