The fly’s nothing special; I was just playing around with a spool of Veevus 8/0 (never used the stuff before - stoopid!) and wanted to see how it worked with a spungulate body. I was able to pack 6 pretty hefty bunches on the shank and only popped the thread once, which gave me a pretty good idea how far I can push this thread; amazing stuff, why did I wait so long? Mostly because I’m cheap (foolishly); in this instance (not always the case in flytying/fishing) you get what you pay for.

thread - Veevus 8/0 tan
body - pronghorn hair natural
underwing - Congo Hair baitfish tan
