I have a friend that thinks like that, Mark. There are four of us that fish together. We're a few years passed 65. Three of us have gotten the life time senior license. I got mine first. When I went to buy my fishing license in the spring of the year I turned 65. My birthday is in late November. The fly shop sold me the life time license. Back then it cost me, if I remember correctly, $55 which include the trout stamp. The other two don't really fish for trout so their's was a little cheaper. PA is a bit more expensive than Illinois. A 1 year senior license is $11.90, tack on another $10 for a trout stamp/permit if you fish for trout. I figure I've got my money's worth. Plus my license stays in it's holder on my fishing vest and I don't have remember to buy a new one each year.
