    Default A couple of poppers

I learned this style popper in a tying class last spring and have tweaked it a bit. I'm pretty sure it's origins are in the Yasuka Crease Fly. I just finished these two the other day, and have since torn down the minnow one. Didn't like how the gills turned out and I needed the rattle for it's replacement. I started big with them. Total length on these two is 4 inches and they're tied on 4/0 hooks. I'm going to make a few more this size for fresh and salt water fishing and then work my way down to pan fish size.

Cool fly; the head-on shot looks like a basking shark.

    Regards,

I'll see what I can do. I did take these pictures of the basic template. They may be of some help.
