I have some toenail clippers that are square across the cutting edge and flat when closed . the bevel is on the inside. I have used them for fly tying when I need to trim errant fibers. they trim much closer than scissors. they are easy to sharpen due to the square and flat outside edge. Just hold them closed and rub them across a fine flat stone. Most of the mono nippers are made the same way and can be used for trimming errant fibers and also sharpened the same way.<br>
