Thread: Patterns of the Masters

  1. Default Patterns of the Masters

    Hello All
Can anyone tell me how many years the book Patterns of the Masters
was published. I believe it was a yearly publication of the fly tyers who tied at the Federation of Fly Fishers conclave.....jim

    Hi,
over the years I've been tp 31 "Conclaves", now otherly named. My first was at Aspen in 1971. David Nelson, a hand surgeon, who was active at the time, was the editor
and did the job for, I'm guessing 5-7 years. David was the son of Dick Nelson who was the originator of the "Aztec" series of flies. I have several (I think 4 or 5 of the
    spiral bound books.
