Ted, I carved out the first 2 the hard way . Years later I made a template and used a router to do the most part. I was inspired by the old Chase bobbin. I used brass tubing from Ace hardware and glued a glass bead in the tip to make them ceramic. All were made of walnut except one maple. Pat

Ted, there is nothing difficult as you can see from the close up, just takes some time. Using the router I made 6 in less time than it took to make the first 2. Thanks for your comments!

For stainless wire go to the $ store and get a wisk (for whipping eggs and other. Or use a bicycle spoke for a stronger one. A little glass bead ( Walmart) glued in the tip would help also
