Few are/were aware they tied the Comparadun with hackle for swifter water.
Sorry, Byron. I was a little slow that day. I didn't realize they went to the hackle variety. Thanks.
While an interesting anecdote, it does negate the single biggest advantage of the Comparadun, i.e. that you do not need to use hackle. I'm also a bit suspicious about hackle adding that much flotation in heavy water, but for me the Comparadun is a more technical than fast water pattern anyway. YMMV.
