Being unfamiliar with that species, what are the criteria as to "record". Can I assume it's size ( length).................? Looking at that boy, the question looms, did he catch that fish or did that fish catch him ? GREAT PIC!

I think it goes by weight and it is a Utah state record, not a world record.

I caught one small Golden trout a long time ago in upper Rock Creek (Montana). They are a beautiful fish. I guess they were brought into the Rock Creek area outside of Phillipsburg in the early 1900's. There is a small sustaining population of them in that higher country.

never the less , someone with knowledge of , needs to show him how to
handle a fish.. of course he is excited but a missed opportunely at a very
appropriate age and time. It matters IMO
Obviously from my statement I don't subscribe much to catch and keep.
