Posting pics ????

Gents et al,
Ever since PhotoBucket became a "for fee" site, I have not posted any shots of my fishing adventures. Granted the fish were MUCH BIGGER then but now I would like to come clean and post them as they REALLY are. I would appreciate some info regarding what many of you use to post some of these great pics that so often appear herein.

I moved to Flikr after Photobucket changed their policy. I think I pay $4/month for unlimited storage, which I find reasonable.

if you have a gmail account you can start a blog for FREE.
Cut/Paste photos directly from there. Have had a blog since 2008.

I use imgur. It's free, has a photo editor, and is simple to use.

You can also post them directly from your computer. Click on the third icon in the next to last box on the right above the quick reply window. Click on from your computer. Click on browse. Find the image in your computer and click on it. click on upload picture. Most images have to edited down in size (megapixels) first. I usually keep the same picture title or number and just add edited for the shrunken version to post.

I use GIFYU.com. Always make sure to sign into it, and it works great. Free.

What size does the picture need to be downsized to?

I really don't know. If the site won't take the picture I just shrink it down to about 60% and try that. I think that's about 3 megapixels with my current camera.

Gentlemen,
A sincere thank you for the many photo posting sites and tips. I'm/we're on my/our way to Wyoming in a few days and would like to share some of the adventure here on FAOL. I'll try all of the suggestions y'all kindly posted and choose something that will work within my capabilities.

IMG_0205.jpg So far I did the Rainbowchaser suggestion. This pic was taken atop the Jackson Lake Dam and is my IPhone wallpaper. It is of me on the left, my dear recently passed away dentist friend from Ridgetown Ontario CA and my childhood pal from Carmel CA.
If this pic does post, it will be one method I know will work.
