Default Any recommdations for a good fish finder for an 8' inflatable toon?

My Bottom Line 4200 fish finder is now toast. I miss it dearly. Attempting to find a replacement that I can use on my 8' foam filled pond hopper....AND use it on my 8' inflatable toon with frame and oars.....has been frustrating.

Is there anyone who knows what would work good? Garmin Striker Portable kit would work good on the hard boat...but on the inflatable? Everything I find on the internet has compliments...AND negative comments about them.

    tks n advance

on a different site, a man mounted his transducer to a framework of pvc which he hung off the side of his kayak. somthing like this might work for your inflatable.

Thank you Eric. I never thought about them that way. Opens up a lot of possibilities that way. I don't think the plethora of small hand helds...and hang around your neck stuff under $100 would work out for me. Fly fishibg with both hands being active....I want something just mounted on the inflatable. That transducer mount gives me a ton of ideas how to do ot.

I have used, and liked, the Humminbird Fishin Buddy. It's powered with AA cell batteries so weight is not an issue.
