    i got the lamps at home depot but they are avaiable on amazon and probably ebay

    Norm, how do you get the coolpix camera to focus on the fly? Mine wants to focus on the backdrop. I get a picture of the texture of the woven cloth I've draped over a box with the fly very out of focus in the foreground.
    I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

    'chaser- I assume you're setting the camera to Macro, right?

    Yea, that's why I get such a nice picture of the weave in the cloth.
    I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

    here are my camera settings



    1. aperture mode
    2. zoom lever



    1. aperture mode
    2. flash turned off
    3. macro turned on
    4. f-stop i use

    i will position the camera close to the subject, zoom in with the zoom lever, depress to shutter button 1/2 down to focus the camera on the subject and then depress it to take the photo

    note: after taking the photo, the sd card is inserted into the card reader on my computer. i then open a photo editing software program to edit the photo by cropping and resizing the photo to a smaller size suitble for forum viewing
