Very well done Walter. Gotta try that one. Keep the videos coming.

    Nice video, Walt.

I have a technical question about your video. What video format is it? When I watched it, I had some issues with not all of the colors rendering out correctly, and a big green bar in the window as well. I've seen this in several other videos in the past month, since I've bought this new laptop. Would that video be in the html 5 format? My previous laptop (a Windows Vista dinosaur) wouldn't even play videos in that format.

    Allen:

It's a standard .mpg. The camera is a Sony Vixia HF10 from 2008.

Virtually everything contemporary on the web is in html5. It's not a video format, it's a coding format for websites (including how videos will display within a page, though not the video encoding itself). I just looked, and this site is still xhtml 1.0 transitional, which is older than God... Even the Parks' Fly Shop site I did in 2011 was in xhtml 1.05. Html5 has been the standard for 4-5 years now.

I would actually suggest downloading a video codec pack, such as this one: https://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

    Walter,
I have tied up some of the Red/Black Gussied Lightening Bugs in size 16. I made one modification that looks good to me. I put a drop of Knot Sense on the wing case and cured it. This really makes the wing case jump out and sparkle. Don't know what the fish will think, but it looks good to me. I also like the purple option. Thanks for the pattern.

The only reason I didn't use a UV resin on the wingcase was where I used to tie... right in the window of the fly shop. I am late to the UV game because of that, though I intend to experiment now that I'm tying in my own basement with a blackout shade.
