Hello and a question

Hi.
It?s been quite awhile since I?ve visited faol so I want to say hello , Merry Christmas and wishes for a happy 2019.

Since I know how knowledgeable you are I?d like to ask a question I have a Mustad cardboard display with 3 hooks. A size 28, a size 28 treble and a size 32. Each one is inside a tiny bubble. I?d put a photo here but I don?t know how. Anyway, anyone want to venture a quest as to its value? I?m just curious. What about value of model 277, gold plated size 32s?

I would suggest that they are worth what someone is willing to pay. These are interesting but its unlikely that they have any great monetary value.

I've seen 3 gold Mustad size 32's in my life, even tied a fly on one. There was a post several years ago on one of the fly fishing sites about them and one of the posters said he had paid $100 for a box of them. That would put the value at $2 a hook. Since it's a display piece and if it's in good condition, it might have some value to a collector. I doubt that it would be a lot but you never know. Posting pictures is fairly easy. When you click on the reply button, above the box where you type your reply there is a row of icons. There's a box with 4 icons in it. Click on the square one that has black dots(?) on the corners. It will give you the option of "From Computer" or "From URL". To upload a picture from your computer, click on "From Computer", select the picture from where ever you keep photos on your computer, then click on upload. That will place it in your reply.

Thanks guys. Oh, about 10 - 15 years ago I managed
to pick up a box of mustad #277 size 32 at the CFFC.
Paid $0.50! Hans Weinermann who used to visit here
frequently sent one of these hooks to tiers from all
over to tie a fly. He photographed and posted about 2
dozen that
had been sent back to him. Phenomenal ties. However,
The photos were lost when he changed providers, I think.
